We are looking for :

genuine people offering a 5* knowledgeable home with other equines for company.

All our ponies are well handled, used to the farrier and wormed. Registered with the SPSBS. We always have all our foals vet checked at the time of passport application before offering them for sale. This is carried out by our an experienced equine vet who is on the SPSBS approved vets list..

Moorsebeck Maple

Maple is a strong, confident filly, we think she will mature to her dam’s height of 33.5 in. She has a pretty head, nice limbs, rich chestnut colouring  and we think she will make someone a lovely broodmare or equally a nice companion. She is well bred by Eiger Krunch and both sire and dam (pictured) have been show champions. She has her SPSBS passport, has been vet checked and will be available in November.

Tussilago Saxon Rose

Rose is a beautiful young bright bay skewbald mare with a pretty head and plenty of hair. Born 2019 by multiple show winning stallion Tussilago Jessie James. Her dam has a lovely mix of Parlington and Earlsdon lines. She moves well and is a fit, active mare.

Rose is a tested mu colour gene carrier.

She has proved herself as a broodmare, good for the stallion, she had her first filly foal this year without issue and has proved to be a great mum.

Rose is good to do in all ways, used to the farrier, catching, leading and friendly with ponies and people a like. She hasn’t had any health issues with lami or sweet itch.

Rose has run with our palomino stallion, Eiger Krunch this year.

Offered as I am just keeping our old mares and retaining a few homebred fillies going forward.

No dreamers, photo collectors, serious long term breeding home only for this lovely natured genuine little mare.

Available November.

Cranford Socks Up

Bred by the late, great Gerry Hart, Socks has impeccable breeding, Vorden and lots of the best Fairy breeding. His dam was a breed show winner. He has a beautiful head for a stallion and a wealth of mane. Now an older boy as born 2007, he has been lightly used here over the last few years I’ve owned him. This is only due to having multiple stallions and not so many mares, we only breed a couple of foals a year. Barring a maiden who didn’t get with foal, his other ladies always have done and he has predominantly sired fillies.

He is a kind, stallion who knows his job well, always runs out with his girls and is very good with mares and foals at foot and doesn’t mind a more bossy mare.

He is well mannered to handle, farrier etc, my teenage daughter has no problems leading him. Happy to live in or out, in a group, with a younger colt companion or on his own.

His only issue is not always wanting to leave mares and be caught first, we’ve found catching the mares first resolves this as he will then come to the gate and allow you to headcollar him and we have grazed him over 20 hectares of moorland and caught him when we’ve needed to.

We feel he would be a worth while addition to any small stud. He doesn’t get the work here especially as I am cutting down on the breeding side further so it would be nice to see him used before his retirement. His price is negotiable, reflecting his age but we feel he still has a spring in his step and plenty left in him for a good while yet.

Genuine enquiries only and no time wasters.

Currently running with a mare so available in September.

Moorsbeck Bizzie Bee

Deposit taken

Bee should mature to around 32 in. She has her SPSBS passport, microchip and vet check. She is nicely marked and going a lovely dark bay and white similar to her great grand dam Earlsdon Lucinda. ( pictured below courtesy of  C Wright )  She also carries the mushroom colour gene and has very nice breeding with Earlsdon and Parlington lines which go back to Liscomepark Pegasus.  With her breeding, she should make a lovely broodmare for the future or equally a nice companion pony.

She has a loving, friendly personality.

Moorsbeck As If By Magic & Moorsbeck Exquisite

Sold

Maggie and Quizzy have found a great new home where they will join another of our ponies from 2022. Unfortunately Blossom who we bred and sold lost her companion suddenly so her owner contacted us in the hope we could find her a new friend to ease her distress sooner than later. As Quizzy was too young to wean and  Maggie and Blossom might hopefully remember each other, it seemed right to let mum and daughter go as a pair. Luckily Quizzy’s passport had arrived that morning so a quick turn around and a helpful transport company they could be on their way.

Although they are missed, its a lovely home for them and we are pleased to hear the little trio are starting to settle down well together.
