Mares & Homebred Fillies
We only keep a few of our original breeding mares alongside our retired, pets and homebred fillies.
We like our mares to have good temperaments and an intelligent, hardy disposition which they will pass onto their offspring and maintain a good Shetland type.
We don’t breed every year so mares get to have time off and most have at least one retained foal which we like to do so mares aren’t just producing offspring to sell.
